Video Conferencing


How to set up Video Conferencing

·         Video Conferencing is a way of having a face to face conversation via a webcam; it includes audio and visual communication. Video conferencing is mainly used in business meetings. Every user needs a computer and a webcam of their own to have a video conference.

The equipment needed for a video conference is:
·         A computer
·         Webcam
·         Microphone
·         An internet connection
·         Speakers
·         Projector or TV
The advantages of video conferencing are:
·         You do not have to travel anywhere to have a video conference.
·         More than one conference can be held at a time.
·         You do not have to pay travel expenses.
The disadvantages of video conferencing are:
·         The connection could be bad or you could completely loose connection.
·         The equipment needed can be very expensive.
·         Time zones can be different conferencing in different parts of the world.
·         Body language and facial expressions and not be expressed effectively.
How to use video conferencing:
·         Firstly you will need a computer.
·         Connect your webcam to the computer and install it.
·         Once the camera has installed check that the webcam is working properly.
·         Make sure that the projector/screen is working.
·         Check for limitations before starting the conference.
·         Decide on a time for the video conference.
·         Make sure everyone can participate in the conference.

What I did for half term

During the half term I played ps3, went out and about with friends. saw my girlfriend. Went on msn and facebook and that about sums up my half term.
